Liposuction
Despite vigorous exercise and diet control, sometimes stubborn areas of fat cannot be easily removed. Liposuction or liposculpture can target specific areas of fat deposits in the body for permanent removal. Areas of the body that can benefit from liposuction include the face and neck, arms, hips, waist, abdomen and back, outer thighs (saddlebag region), inner thighs, knees and calves. In some cases, breast fat and male breast enlargement (gynecomastia) responds well to ultrasonic-assisted liposuction.Liposuction is safe when performed in an accredited facility and by trained plastic surgeons. Tumescent fluid and super-wet techniques have been developed to decrease operative and recovery time, improve outcomes, and restore patient confidence and happiness with better form. Patients look and feel better particularly when combined with lifestyle changes of continued exercise and dietary modifications.

Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)
One of the best operations to effect a youthful change to the body is an abdominoplasty,
or "tummy tuck". Often weight fluctuations, changes brought about from pregnancy,
and resistant fat deposits despite exercise lead many patients, men and women, to
seek an abdominal contouring procedure. Removing excess skin and fat with tightening
of the abdominal muscles gives a flat, youthful contour to the abdomen. Sometimes
liposuction is added to give a "washboard" or "6-pack" appearance to the abdomen,
commonly called abdominal etching.
Mini-abdominoplasties are performed for lower abdominal laxity that occurs with stretching the infraumbilical region of the abdomen. The laxity is tightened with internal sutures and utilizes a smaller incision with a minimal amount of skin resection. This type of surgery can often be performed under outpatient conditions in conjunction with liposculpture of the upper and outer abdomen.

Body lift
Lifting the sagging skin left behind from massive weight loss (usually after gastric bypass procedures or stomach stapling procedures) completes the process of relieving oneself of obesity and its chronic health problems. The effects of massive weight loss leaves excess skin in the abdomen, inner/outer thighs, breasts and arms, and face. Usually a combination of procedures is required at staged intervals, such as lower body lifting (abdomen, inner/outer thighs) followed by upper body lifting (breast lifts, arm lifts, facelifts). All necessary dietary changes and lifestyle changes should be in place prior to undergoing body lifts, and a stable weight must be achieved for a period of time to ensure no additional procedures will be needed in the near future. Circumferential incisions are frequently necessary to achieve proper contouring, and general anesthesia with a short hospital stay are required to ensure a safe recovery.
